The demand for cars with natural gas engines continues to increase. That’s why we at Bavaria Fluid Systems in Pforzheim, Germany are investing in our new production line for metering solenoid valves and metering solenoid pumps. They are mounted on a board with control electronics and tested and delivered as a Electronic Valve-Protector.
Natural gas engines have neither lubrication nor cooling with liquid fuel. To ensure that the natural gas engine does not break, an additive as a lubricant must also be injected into the intake air. The quantity and number of cycles depend on the engine speed. The engine electronics supply the corresponding signal and the control electronics on the board clock the BFS oscillating piston pump and BFS inline solenoid valves so that the engine is always adequately supplied with lubricant. The Electronic Valve-Protector was developed some years ago together with SI-Elektronik GmbH in Maintal, Germany and is now very popular with thousands of drivers across Europe. The complete modification kit is available from SI-Elektronik GmbH in Maintal.
